IPSY Glam Bag - DIY Glam Bag (IPSY's First Ever DIY Glam Bag)
If we are being honest, I have to say that this is my least favorite IPSY Glam Bag so far. This month's bag felt a bit boring and rushed, which made for an underwhelming Glam Bag experience. We always look forward to the IPSY Glam Bags here at ELECTRIC, which is why we always stay true to giving our most honest review of each month's bag. As the designated Electric Team Member for every IPSY Glam Bag review, I have to state that while I actually love the concept of a DIY bag, I find the finished product has fallen short of what could have been an interesting and fun thing for recipients of the monthly bag.
PINK PEWTER Splash & Swirl Makeup Sponge
I actually thought that this Glam Bag item was the most boring product in this month's bag. Don't get me wrong, I love application sponges as much as the next makeup lover, but it is a basic item in everyone's makeup supplies drawer. Personally, I already have a ton of application sponges so I found it to be a bit of an unoriginal product placement.
CONTOUR COSMETICS Lip Kit Pencil (Juju)
I really liked this product, it applied very easily and lasted. For my makeup looks, I try to always do a more natural and neutral look on a daily basis, so I love products that fit right in with that aesthetic. This was my first time trying the Contour Cosmetics brand but I will definitely be adding it to my daily routine.
GLOSSIER Balm Dotcom (Mint)
My least favorite item of this month's bag. To be perfectly honest, I was not a fan of the packaging of this product, it's made to resemble a toothpaste tube, which sort of *grossed* me out when it came to using a lip balm. I am passing this item along to a friend to try, so hopefully she likes it!
CITY COLOR COSMETICS Glow Duo
I really like this product! It's always fun when you get two products in one, which is why this is a great on the go item. I love pretty much all foundation, contour, and glow/highlight items so I was excited to this in this month's Glam Bag. It applies smooth and easy, which is always a plus. Personally, I had been unfamiliar with the City Color Cosmetics brand, but now it's a brand I will be adding into my makeup mix!
TARTE COSMETICS Sex Kitten Eyeliner
My most favorite item in this month's bag! Personally, I use a lot of TART Cosmetics so I am always happy when their products pop up in our company's Glam Bag subscription. I have, however, never actually tried their eyeliner, but after trying this product, I am definitely considering switching over. I typically do not use an eyeliner everyday, only on special makeup occasions when I want my eyes to pop a bit more, but when I do, I use MAC's push up Technakohl liner in Graphblack. The Tart push up Sex Kitten eyeliner is a great product, I really loved the way it easily applied and lasted and I will definitely be purchasing a full size version of it.
